An Amateur Radio license is still free (no age restrictions), however it will cost $12 for the test session (collected by the VE team for the VEC). Plus a new $35.00 application fee paid to and collected by the F.C.C.. This fee, imposed on April 19th, 2022 will be charged for applications regarding: New License, Club License, Renewal and Vanity applications. However administrative applications such as address change and upgrade to license are not.

The Society offers Amateur Radio license testing (VE) sessions, by reservation for Central Florida including Kissimmee, Saint Cloud, Orlando and anyone from anywhere that would like to test with us.

Our Kissimmee Amateur Radio license testing (VE) sessions are every Wednesday Morning 9:15 AM at Culvers's Restaurant. All session dates are now posted and are pre-registration only!
The Sessions are canceled the Thursday before, if no pre-registrations have been confirmed and will no longer be available in the drop down menu.

All testing session candidates must fill out this pre registration form. If you are upgrading you must bring a current signed "Official Copy" License document for inclusion in the package to VEC/FCC session records. You can download and print by going to and Loging (click here) in to the License Manager then download, print and sign a current "Official Copy"

Please pay the testing fee in advance as we prepare and print forms, so we ask you to pay in advance using PayPal or a credit card, this will be offered to you during the pre-registration process.

(this may take a bit to load as it gathers a lot of information) and choose the date from the "Test Date registering for" drop down menu, we test every Wednesday of the Month by pre-registration only, No Walk Ins. (sorry).

If you wish to call the number listed on the W4VEC website, please leave a message as this is a number that goes directly to voice mail (no one will answer) and a call will be returned.

Address and directions to testing site (testing.arrg.us) will be e-mailed to you after you have completed the form. Please check your Junk or Spam folder for these e-mails, many e-mail services (Gmail - Yahoo - outlook) protect (shouldn't be their choice) you from emails sent by on-line forms.
